About Forward Wisconsin

Forward Wisconsin (forwardWI.com), is a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation created in 1984 on the recommendation of the Governor's Strategic Development Commission. Forward Wisconsin markets the state to corporate executives, site selection consultants, business decision-makers and investors to raise awareness that Wisconsin is a great place to do business and to encourage investment in Wisconsin.

Forward Wisconsin has traditionally been the first point of contact for out-of-state firms deciding where to locate a new or expansion facility. Our primary strength is our ability to draw upon the resources of both the public and private sectors and our ability to connect with new business prospects.

Marketing Mission Statement:
"Marketing outside Wisconsin to attract new businesses, jobs and increased economic activity to Wisconsin."

Forward Wisconsin's Mission:
Forward Wisconsin works to boost the state's image and to attract industry, talent and intellectual capital to Wisconsin by focusing on selected industry clusters. We target cluster industries currently thriving in the state, emerging, are compatible with the state's current strengths or those projected to have strong growth potential. Forward Wisconsin also selects geographic targets for out-of-state marketing missions.

Forward Wisconsin provides a one-stop shop for business information and uses a wide range of marketing tools; (1) direct mail and telemarketing; (2) print advertising; (3) trade show appearances at industry expositions; (4) marketing missions to meet with CEO's interested in locating in Wisconsin; and (5) providing business cost comparisons, financial information and other business consulting services on a confidential, no-cost basis.

Twenty-five years later, Forward Wisconsin continues to market Wisconsin's business advantages to educate decision-makers on the positive benefits of living, working, playing and doing business in Wisconsin.
